These plants are grown and shipped in a 5” deep plugs. The seedlings vary slightly in size, but you will receive a seedling that has at least started to grow its second set of leaves like the one pictured. Some seedlings have 3 or 4 sets of leaves. Larger seedlings are shipped out first on a first come first served basis.

General Info
This is an ornamental, evergreen tree with a wide, dense, low crown. The trees are valued for their edible fruit, which are often collected from the wild in its native range. They are sometimes grown in domestic orchards, though the fruit is relatively unknown throughout the tropical/sub-tropical world. It’s native to much of South America including Trinidad, growing in Atlantic rainforests from the coast to higher elevations

Growing Conditions
Full sun or moderate shade. They are found growing in deep soil which is well-drained and of moderate fertility.
Years to Fruit
It is unknown exactly how long these trees take to fruit from seed, but it may be assumed that its similar to cambuca and may typically take 6-8 years, but may be more or less than this.
Taste
Fruits are described as having a succulent, sweet and pleasant taste.

Sub-Tropical to Tropical.
Cold Tolerance
Tolerant down to at least 27F for several hours once established.
