General Info
Longevity spinach is a leafy green from tropical Asia. It has a history of being used to treat various aliments including kidney discomfort, rheumatism, diabetes mellitus, constipation, and hypertension. It grows as a low ground cover, but can climb if left to grow unpruned. Longevity spinach will produce nice little orange flowers and can self seed around the garden.
Growing Conditions
Longevity spinach is cold sensitive, but it has lived as a perennial here in zone 9b, Tampa, FL. Partial sun is best, but will grow in mostly shaded areas as well. This is one of those plants that thrives on neglect!

Can be eaten raw or cooked. The leaves have a viscous consistency
